Oscar 2024: ‘Peaches’ se queda fuera de las precandidatas a Mejor Canción Original

Cuando llegó ‘Super Mario Bros. La Película’ a cines en mayo de este año, rápidamente se convirtió en todo un fenómeno de taquilla. Pero más allá de lo mucho que la disfrutaron quienes la vieron en cines, la canción ‘Peaches‘ logró viralizarse al punto que fue punto de partida de diversas versiones, cada una más divertida que la anterior.

La canción de hecho fue descrita como una genialidad, mientras Jack Black hacía lo posible por interpretarla dando todo de sí como Bowser y todos soñábamos con verlo interpretar el tema en la próxima gala del Oscar.

De hecho, pensábamos que si bien era difícil que ganase un Oscar, era bastante posible que quede entre las candidatas a Mejor Canción Original, especialmente porque hubiera significado también un empujoncito en el rating para La Academia con un número musical de este tipo.

Sin embargo, la llamada “shortlist” o “precandidatas” al Oscar 2024 ya fue revelada como antesala a las nominaciones oficial el próximo 23 de enero y ‘Peaches‘ no forma parte de la categoría de Mejor Canción Original.

La lista, sin embargo, sí incluye a 3 temas de ‘Barbie‘ como ‘Dance the Night’, ‘I’m Just Ken’, o ‘What Was I Made For?’ que podría colarse entre las nominadas con dos candidaturas en esta categoría.
